ROTARY CLUB OF ULAANBAATAR CENTRAL
The "Ulaanbaatar Central" Rotary Club was established in 2016 by L. Bayarsaikhan, a former Assistant Governor for the 2011-2012 term. Currently, the club has 23 members. The club is known for several of its signature projects, the largest of which is the Global Grant project, "Ger for Life."
This project has brought significant positive changes over the years for its members and participants. It operates programs focused on teaching life skills, providing counselling, and organising job training sessions for children and mothers living on-site. The primary beneficiaries of this project are single mothers from impoverished households, children, and individuals with disabilities. Starting in December 2021, the project also began including hearing-impaired individuals as beneficiaries.
Participants in the project receive free housing at the project site, regular medical check-ups, and successfully navigated the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
