The Nomt Rotary Club is one of the Rotary Clubs operating in Mongolia, was established on September 13, 2013, and currently has 22 members. We focus on early childhood education and maternal and child health, and we have implemented several projects in the fields of health and education. One of our signature projects is to establish a library in a secondary school dormitory, which is located far from urban areas.

The project focuses on establishing a library in the dormitory for children studying in secondary schools far from their home. Indeed, children are provided with the opportunity to spend their spare time in a proper way by doing homework and reading books outside of school hours. In addition, equipment worth 63,000 US dollars was donated, with funding from the Rotary International Foundation, to equip the paediatric ward of the General Hospital in Tuv Province, Mongolia.

The projects that the Club has carried out include:

Donation of equipment to the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health: The Club implemented a donation of medical equipment for the children’s clinic of blood disorders and cancer that was established with support from Ajia Rimbuchii and others. The medical equipment donated to the intensive care unit of the clinic included automatic injection kits. This project was supported by the Rotary Global Grant worth $64,000 and implemented in partnership with the Rotary Club of Rui An from Taiwan, of District 3450.

Emergency Equipment Donation— In this project, contemporary and advanced medical equipment was donated to the pediatric intensive care unit of the general hospital in Tuv Province. Also, the children’s unit was decorated to create a friendly environment. This project was also implemented in partnership with the Rotary Club Rui An of Taiwan. It also provided a gentle and warm environment for the children. The project was supported by the Global Grant of Rotary International, and it cost $63,000.

"School Dormitory Library Project": The club’s signature project. The club identifies the needs in the school dormitories in remote areas and establishes a library for the children living in them, most of whom are from herding households. This project has been successfully implemented in seven school dormitories in Tuv, Arkhangai, and Selenge aimags. Thanks to this project, children living in school dormitories in the above locations have access to Mongolian and foreign literature books and educational resources and games during their spare time.
